A must have for anyone visiting Washington D.C. or interested in espionage!
By spyzep
First of all this book feels and looks great, I plan to carry it in my coat pocket on my next trip to D.C. I have been a fan of Wallace and Melton's other books - "Spy Sites of NYC", "Philadelphia", "Ultimate Spy", etc. - but this one may be the best yet....after all, Washington D.C. is our national's capital and it is loaded with foreign embassies full of foreign intelligence officers. This book covers the real world of espionage in DC from 1790 through to 2016. I love the easy to follow chronological flow of the book and it's logical layout full of lush photos, maps and even the rare (FBI captured, etc.) Soviet cipher pad and other intelligence tradecraft artifacts. Only the historian and owner of the 'world's largest collection of spy artifacts' and the former CIA OTS (Office of Technical Services) director could combine forces and deliver this book! The perfect weekend trip: this book and its 220 sites to visit plus a trip to the International Spy Museum! (James Bond would be jealous!). I can't wait for the "Spy Sites of Moscow"!

Smile! You're on SpyCam!
By Jacquelyn J. Caccia
This book presents a fascinating look at the spies and the sites they inhabited. There are a lot of pictures which is a wonderful addition to the text. It definitely would be a 'take along' on any trip to D.C. My only 'complaint' is the gray type used throughout. It makes reading a little difficult.
